Why Blog Now?

Why start a Blog now? I am 65 and pretty busy, this may well be the last thing I need. To be honest, its partly because of Covid-19 - here I am hunkered down in the forest just outside of Ithaca, and - after what work there is has been dealt with, and the housework is up to date, and all the latest TV shows and movies watched, and all the gin and wine drunk - I needed something else to occupy my mind.

It's also partly because, sometimes, there’s stuff I need to get off my mind. Things that bother me, things that might interest other people, things that (in my arrogance) I think they might like to know, or should know. Some of these missives have already been landing on Facebook on occasion. You may agree or disagree with my trenchantly expressed views. Fair enough. I will be inviting comment and discussion.

Apart from any graphics that have been included by way of illustration, every Blog will be accompanied by a photograph taken by me - just for fun.
